Passione Equestre, by PSI MAGAZINE

From the windows of his house, Riccardo Pisani can see his favorite place: the stables with his number-one horse inside, Oldenburg stallion Chaclot. The Chacco-Blue son and his rider have become one of the pillars of Team Italia in the past seasons.
Among their Grand Prix results are venues like Gijon, Hickstead, Barcelona, Rotterdam, Verona, St.Gallen, Calgary, Piazza di Siena, La Baule, Aachen, and the Longines FEI World Cup. They also competed at the
2018 FEI Nations Cup Final in Barcelona, impressing with a double clear
round. In 2021, the Italian Equestrian Federation selected the pair as a reserve for the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Chaclot is the spitting image of his famous sire, Chacco-Blue. Pisani discovered him in 2017 when trying out horses at Paul Schockemöhle’s stables in Mühlen. Though the stallion was rather green at the time, he immediately gave his rider a good feeling: “Meeting Chaclot was the best moment, you could already feel that he is a special horse. His mindset is like his father’s, he’s unbelievably scopey and careful. At home, he’s easy-going, but once you get into the arena, his mind is on the job!” The bay stallion is widely considered one of the best, if not the best horse in Italy at the moment. Naturally there
have been several offers for Chaclot, but Pisani’s mother-in-law is the owner
and a strong supporter of her son-in-law.
